I have taken circuitous path which has led me to where I am today. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples and families heal and grow. I have made it my life’s work to explore what causes suffering, how we can minimize suffering, and how to lead a fulfilling life congruent with who we are and what we believe in. I have a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (Sofia University) in Palo Alto, CA. I have worked in the mental health field for nearly 20 years. Past degrees include a bachelor’s degree in English Education (1987) and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Development/Mental Health (1990), both from the University of Iowa. I have worked in an outpatient psychiatric clinic, both inpatient and outpatient substance abuse clinics, with victims and offenders of domestic violence, and with families in the court system/foster care system.
I have a deep respect and compassion for my clients as well as all beings.
